Welcome! Willkommen!

This is the web space of Pan, occasional writer and traveller between the worlds.
You may wonder what this means - well, I'm afraid you will have to find your own interpretation.
So, please, step in, make yourself comfortable and join me as I post my little writings in German or English.
I am excited and happy to finally release them into the wild - for isn't it only by evoking a thought or a feeling in a reader that a verse becomes alive?

Sometimes you need to go, travel afar,
and leave all your everyday patterns behind
to get a new glimpse on the person you are
and you'll be surprised by the marvels you'll find.

Sometimes you have to escape home-grown spells,
becoming a stranger among strangers' streets,
to hear your heart echoing in someone else
and find the sound silence your unnoticed needs.

'Cause sometimes a view from this far spot in space
can change your perspective and clear up the maze,
can make wonders happen in magical ways
and once you're returning, the magic, it stays.

If There Were Dragons
If there were dragons
fearless and wild
with deadly fire
and the wisdom of eternities

If there were dragons
unfolding their wings at dusk
beyond our measures
of judgement or reason

If there were dragons
apart from their magic
their might and their beauty
maybe they could teach us some humility

Limitations
Armstrong has left a man's footprint on Moon
but reaching beyond - that's a whole different tune.

Watson and Crick solved the code of our genes
but to understand life it takes way more, it seems.

There's genius minds and amazing success
but all have their limits - that's human, I guess.

The world's full of riddles we never will solve
no matter how fancy our brains will evolve.

We can't calculate how much one piece of art,
a song or a gesture can sway someone's heart.

So, how should I make the impossible true:
How could I not be in love with you?
